The new velvet yarn from bernat is simply amazing! I have seen tons of patterns involving it from scrunchies, to bunnies, to headwrap and even beanies! I wanted to make something out of it nobody tried yet. Of course I thought RUG! How heavenly would that feel on your toes! Literally, AMAZING. This pattern only calls for ONE, YES ONE Skein of the velvet yarn.

1 Skein of bernat velvet yarn in color of choice

Row 2: Ch 2, DC IN SAME ST AND IN EACH ST AROUND. (40)
Row 3: CH 2, DC IN FIRST ST, *FPDC IN NEXT, BPDC IN NEXT REPEAT PUTTING A REGULAR DC IN LAST ST. TURN
Row 4: CH 1, HDC IN SAME ST AND IN EACH REMAINING ST. TURN(40)
Row 5: CH 2 DC IN SAME ST AND IN EACH REMAINING ST. TURN (40)

Optional! Add fringe on ends. I cut my tassels about 10 inches each and put on strand in each st on the sides. Then I trimmed it how I wanted it.
Finished rug size is 16 ½ inches by 28 inches long without fringe included
